Casio AMW320 Ani-Digi Marine Gear Series Watch…

Casio AMW320RD-2AV $100 Online “The timeless style of an analog watch, combined with the functionality of a digital watch. This analog digital combination allows you to see up to 2 times or the date with day of the week. With the added features of an alarm, stopwatch and hourly time signal, you’ll never lose track of time. Blue Casual Sports Watch with Analog/Digital Dial Code and Metal Band.” This is the only stainless steel bracelet / band version that Casio offers in the AMW3oo series. I was originally going to purchase the black dial with rubber strap, but after seeing the watches up close, I could not pass up the perl blue face version. Casio’s AMW series selection This is not a small watch either, with a 48mm x 46mm case it’s a nice large timepiece. Despite having rolled stainless steel links on the bracelet (vs solid links) the watch has a good quality feel to it. The rolled steel links makes the watch lightweight. Usually this means the steel bracelet looks cheap, but this particular bracelet has each endlink highly polished at it’s edges, making each endink appear “solid” and one piece. I keep thinking if Casio went with solid endlinks on this model the watch would weigh a ton and be to heavy to wear.. haha.. So it was a good tradeoff going with the rolled. You can order the rubber strap separately and have both available. The watch is all stainless steel with an aluminum bezel that rotates easily in both directions. The quartz movement is a hacking movement so you can precisely synchronize the analog and digital times. The Hands are such a length that the digital display is never really blocked and can be used easily at any time. The AMW320 is a great basic ani-digi timepiece. Everything is simple and to the point. You can set the analog hands seperate from the digital time, plus there are dual times within the digital portion of the watch giving you the ability to have 3 different times on the watch (analog, and 2 digital times). Alarm and a 1/100th second stopwach round out the features. There is no backlight on the watch either, but the hands glow for a while after being exposed to light. The blue face changed color because it’s a perl finish. This is nice. In certain light you have a dark dial. If you are looking for a nice lightweight but heavy looking quartz beater for $100 or so (much less for the rubber strap models $60 or so), the Casio AMW320 series is a nice choice.
